Learn the physiology of the respiratory system and the breath cycle, subtle body physiology, terminology, and implications as well as a plethora of techniques. Learn to design a breath-based class and skillfully incorporate breath work into any yoga or similar class/private session. Sue has studied with Leslie Kaminoff and his work will be used and incorporated as well as that of Donna Farhi, Gay Hendricks, and Judith Hanson Lasater.

Vinyasa Teacher Training Immersion

This workshop is part of our advanced yoga teacher training elective series and ANY teacher or serious student can attend! This weekend will consist of yogic philosophy and history of the practice of Surya Namaskar. This will include a deep discussion about the techniques and purpose for practicing this sacred movement Meditation. Included in this immersion will be a "Creative Flow Creations" module on class building and sequencing, as well as refining cues and alignment while teaching and practicing. We will have an extensive practice of 108 sun salutations to strengthen, purify, and awaken the Body, Mind, and Spirit. This weekend will be a great review for advanced practitioners and a wonderful introduction to those new to Vinyasa.

Meditation Immersion for Yoga Teachers

This workshop is part of our advanced yoga teacher training elective series and ANY teacher or serious student can attend! Join Sue on a journey of meditation from beginner to experienced practitioner as we fold in techniques from basic guided and contemplative seated to Vipasana, Mindfulness, and MORE. Learn environmental set-up, barriers to techniques, strategies for special populations, incorporation into other types of classes and environments, as well as resources and tools. Movement meditation class on Saturday from 10:30-12 noon will be open to the public as a regular class and an off-site retreat with yoga and meditation will end our journey on Sunday. Take all or part of the workshop 8:30am-5pm Saturday and 10-3 on Sunday.

INTENTIONAL LIVING: healthy living workshop

This 8-week series will help you kick off 2023 the mindful way with weekly topics on nutrition, movement/yoga, habit change and goal setting, pairing down personal possessions/organizing, sleep hygiene and routines. Compassion Fatigue Resiliency

In this workshop, we will define compassion fatigue, take a standardized assessment, learn about resiliency as well as tools to combat fatigue. Materials provided to create goals and objectives for an individualized compassion fatigue plan for YOU! Yoga and mindfulness practices will be incorporated by Dr. Watson.. The workshop will end in a restorative yoga practice to neutralize the nervous system and give you a jump-start in self care!

Inversion Flow/Advanced Arm Balance

Get creative using our headstand assist prop to safely explore the upside-down experience in Vinyasa flow. The end of class will incorporate arm balances with an emphasis on alignment and body mechanics.

Trauma-Informed Meditation Teacher Training - One Day Workshop - 9am-4pm

Yoga Nidra

This workshop is part of our advanced yoga teacher training Intensive series and any teacher or serious student can attend! Learn the history, philosophy, physiology and practice of yoga nidra or “yogic sleep” (but you’re not asleep!). We will dive into the 7 stages of yoga nidra as outlined and explained by Richard Miller, founder of iRest (Sue has studied with him), and move through self-inquiry to develop our Sankalpa, or intention. Day 2 will incorporate teaching methodology of this amazing practice, and a mini-nidra practice workshop. Mini workshop/retreat Sunday 4-5:30pm. 300 hour YTT students will purchase Richard Miller’s Yoga Nidra for this workshop.

Trauma-Informed Yoga Immersion

This workshop is part of our advanced yoga teacher training elective series and ANY teacher or serious student can attend! In this workshop you will learn the definition of trauma and triggers in students as well as how to create a safe space for students to self-identify in an empowering way. We will dive into the neurobiology of trauma and how it changes the brain and be able to identify signs and symptoms that are seen in many trauma survivors. We will incorporate creating a safe and inclusive space for all students and review poses that are and are not traditionally taught in a trauma-informed class. Guest lecturers from the counseling and mental health field will present part of this powerful workshop! The somatic work of Dr. Peter Levine as well as Bessel van der Kolk will be explored. 300 hour YTT students will purchase The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel van der Kolk for this workshop.

Restorative Yoga Teacher Training Immersion

​Yin Yoga Teacher Training Immersion

Judy teachers this powerful workshop utilizing seminal works from Paul Grilley and Sarah Powers to guide students through history and traditions of this combination of traditional Chinese Medicine principles and yoga which is slower-paced and focuses on opening and awakening soft tissue and connective tissue in the body. Judy’s expertise in subtle body teachings and awareness shines as participants learn the poses,benefits, teaching style, and methodology of this amazing practice with so many benefits!
Class description for this YTT module
The Yin Yoga Module is suitable for those both interested in teaching basic Yin Yoga classes or for those who simply wish to deepen their understanding of the practice.
Learn history and core principles of Yin yoga
Demonstrate / practice 12-15 basic yin postures including backbends, forward bends, twists, and inversions for the main yin meridians
Discuss sequencing, cueing and using props for modifications in yin poses
Verbalize the positive physiological effects of Yin Yoga on the fascia, connective tissue, and joint health.
Anatomy of mindfulness and basic Buddha dharma concepts in yin yoga
YTT students will need to purchase Insight Yoga by Sarah Powers for this class. STUDENTS WHO HAVE TAKEN THE ONE WEEKEND PREVIOUSLY WITH JUDY--the second weekend will be new/deeper material. CEUs avaiable for Yoga Alliance, IAYT, etc.

This workshop is part of our advanced yoga teacher training immersion series and any yoga teacher, Ayurvedic practitioner, or serious student may attend. Participants must be in person for this workshop and there is no modified or mini workshop or partial day offerings. We will have 6-7 hours of content from Vivica covering Dosha test, 3 pillars, 4 purushartas, 3 bodies in Ayurveda, 5 elements (review), 3 doshas (review), mental constitution test, and balancing the doshas.. Kelly Downes and Sue Nesler will deliver “Kitchari with Kelly” (lunch included and recipe!) as well as nomemade Chai and Golden Milk. Sattvic yoga practice with Sue Nesler will be included--handouts, and MUCH MORE. Comprehensive beginner to intermediate training.

Each day, participants will meet from 8:30am-5pm and learn the history of both sound and somatics, the use of sound as a Somatic healing practice, the neurological basics of why each are effective, how to incorporate both into a yoga class, and trauma-informed considerations for the use of each.
Participants must have a 200 Hour YTT or Higher.
